Sonic Classic 2 is a celebrated Windows PC fangame developed by Hez (also known as HezMania) that serves as the direct sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog Classic. The project had a long and troubled development history: originally announced around 2011, it was even put on hold by the creator due to the official release of Sonic Generations.
