The main character of Akatsuki Blitzkampf is Akatsuki, a technical officer in the Imperial Japanese Army. After being frozen in a submarine in the Arctic for 50 years, he awakens in modern times without having aged. Powered by the "Blitz Motor" (a tactical engine embedded in his chest) he gains superhuman electrical abilities and fights using a martial art based on military karate.
