Ken Masters

 



Ken Masters is the deuteragonist of Capcom's Street Fighter series. Introduced in the original 1987 Street Fighter as a "palette swap" for Ryu, he has since developed into a distinct character known for his aggressive, flashy fighting style. An American martial artist born into the wealthy Masters family. He is 3/4 Japanese and 1/4 American. Sent to Japan as a youth to train in Ansatsuken under Master Gouken. It was here he met his lifelong friend and rival, Ryu. Unlike the nomadic Ryu, Ken is a devoted family man. He is married to Eliza and has a son named Mel. He is also the brother-in-law of Guile. While originally identical to Ryu, Ken's moveset evolved to favor multi-hit attacks and enhanced Shoryuken (Dragon Punch) techniques, which often feature flames.
