Cinder

 

Cinder is a popular character in the Killer Instinct franchise. In the original story, he is a common and normal criminal who, after participating in scientific experiments at Ultratech, manages to manipulate fire in his own way. He enters the KI tournament because if he wins, in exchange for his victory the company would keep him out of the clutches of the police. In the 2013 reboot, Cinder, before becoming a hybrid of an alien and a human who manipulates fire, was an industrial spy who was given the mission to investigate Ultratech but was captured by the company and became an ally of the company.
